TOT Lunch Meet and Greet at Texas Lils

This week’s ToT Meet and Greet was in Old Town Temecula’s Texas Lil’s. What a great place to mix and mingle in this western-styled saloon/restaurant. I was unaware that the owners Ron and Becky Walton owned the two year old Vail Ranch Steakhouse and also Texas Loosey’s, both in Temecula. The Taste of Temecula’s patrons today got lucky as the “Two for Tuesday” special was extended through Wednesday. Two super huge burgers for the price of one! The bacon burger was plump and delicious like I make them at home and I make them pretty darn good! The Texas Egg Rolls were deep-fried and decadent, but oh so good. Their menu contains over a 100 items to choose from, not including their weekend brunch menu. They have a full bar and Happy Hour is from 3pm to 6pm Monday through Friday and beginning August 1st they will extend that to 7 days a week. There are 12 appetizers on the Happy Hour menu for only $4.95 each and ALL drinks are $1 off. Kids will get to eat free 24/7 with each paid adult. If you want to be entertained or part of the entertainment they have Karaoke every Tuesday through Sunday starting at 7pm.

We didn’t have a large turnout today, but in place of quantity, we had quality. It was nice to really get to know everyone there. I had the “sweet” pleasure of meeting Robin McCoy who specializes in delectable desserts using treasured southern style recipes. She brought for us to try these thick, chewy chocolate chip cookies half dipped in MORE chocolate. I felt utterly hedonistic as I savored the layered flavors of chocolate upon chocolate. McCoy presently owns Robin’s Nest Desserts and Catering, but look for her soon to open up in Old Town Temecula on Fifth Street sometime in November. McCoy hopes to have her Grand Opening with a Soulful Sunday dinner that will continue every Sunday night thereafter. Robin’s Nest will be open for breakfast and Saturday evenings will be available for private parties. In the meantime, you can go online to order just about anything from banana pudding to wedding cake to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Kelly Robertson, owner of Celebrity Lipstick and Red Carpet Makeup was in attendance and helped raffle off gifts from Nothing Bundt Cakes and Danza del Sol Winery. Tim Osborne of Heartland Payment Systems was also present. Emilie Steele and Michelle Weaver were there discussing “Race for Your Life”. They are looking for runners to participate and volunteers to help with a local run. Kat Ellis, of El-Ely Promotional, offered her assistance in photographing head shots at a discount to the community, as many of us business people need to update our business cards. Don’t miss out on our next Meet and Greet held every other Wednesday. Go to http://www.tasteoftemecula.net to find out where they will be held. The venues are always great with discounted lunch options and a chance to network and meet new people.

There is so much to do in Old Town Temecula, especially now that there is live music every Friday night from 6pm – 10pm during Hot Summer Nights. After you’re through checking out all the activities for the family, stop by Texas Lil’s for the best Tex-Mex food around. Bring the dog and enjoy patio dining. Texas Lil’s has a K-9 menu that includes; meaty beef ribs, grilled chicken breast, hot dogs and burger patties. So for the best grub this side of Texas, come to Texas Lil’s and bring the whole family!
