Temecula Live! Benefits Oak Grove Center

Dust off your boots and get ready for a stompin’ good time! Temecula Live! is back at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater on January 28th and 29th. The “Patriotic” theme for this year’s event will offer modern country music and comedy set in Grand Ole Opry style with The Ranch Rockers as the house band. A slightly different style of country music on each performance, there’s something for everyone depending on which show you choose: Friday is “Rock It Out, Make It Loud;” Saturday matinee is “Youngn’s and Young At Heart;” and the Saturday evening show is “Come One, Come All.”

Show times are Friday, January 28th at 7pm and Saturday, January 29th at 2pm and 7pm. A VIP reception for sponsors, performers and volunteers hosted by Oak Grove Center for Treatment, Education & the Arts is scheduled for the same Saturday at 6pm.

Over forty local performers will take their country music talents to the stage over the course of the event. Most recognizable are Skyler Day, Hayley Stayner, The Brewer Boys and Jessica Tourino:

Singer/actress Skyler Day performs on the Saturday matinee show.

Skyler Day has an active country music and acting profession having just completed appearances on CSI Miami and Law & Order as well as several Disney Channel shows. Skyler also does voiceovers and original songs for television and movies.

Hayley Stayner has performed at Temecula Live! for five straight years. She just released her first CD and won “Female Entertainer of the Year” in her age group by the West Coast Country Music Association. In March, Hayley will represent Southern California at the National Awards in Tennessee. Hayley had the privilege to perform at this year’s Wagon Wheel Country Music Festival, where she shared the stage with Lee Ann Womack, Dierks Bentley, Jimmy Wayne and Emerson Drive.

Lake Elsinore's own Brewer Boys are back in town!

The Brewer Boys recently brought down the house at the 2010 Wagon Wheel Festival in Lake Elsinore. They have appeared in Country Weekly Magazine and performed the National Anthem at the Final Rodeo Championship in 2008. Returning to Temecula Live!, the Brewer Boys bring with them fans from as far as Germany.

Palm Springs Rodeo Queen Jessica Tourino will perform at Temecula Live! at the Saturday evening show, just before she competes in the Miss Rodeo California 2011. Jessica has a large collection of awards from rodeo competitions and recently started an online retail store called The Dirty Cowgirl where she sells apparel and accessories for women.

Hayley Stayner rocks the Saturday evening show.

Temecula Live! was created by Gwyn Sanborn and Sandi Capel of GaS Productions. Gwyn is a previous winner of the CCMA Entertainer and Vocalist of the year for the State of California. Sandi is also lead vocalist for The Ranch Rockers and co-founder of Country at the Merc. She is also a mom and a grandma! The longtime friends produce Temecula Live! in order to raise money for children and military charities in the community. Both ladies, along with the band The Ranch Rockers can be found every Saturday night at Country at the Merc offering two shows at 7pm and 9pm.

Tickets for each show are $22 ($20 with military ID) and are available at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater (1-866-653-8696) or by visiting www.TemeculaLive.org. Proceeds from Temecula Live! 2011 will benefit the Arts and Autism programs at Oak Grove Center, an educational and treatment facility for at-risk youth located in Murrieta, California.

Oak Grove Center would also like to announce that they are selling “Send a Child to Temecula Live” tickets for $20. The donations would allow the residents at Oak Grove Center to attend the event. For more information about these special tickets, please call Cheryl Lievsay at (951) 677-5599.
