Wine tasting at the Mill
Article by: Marilyn Wrye-Tipps
What a beautiful day it was this past Saturday, low 80 degree temperature with a slight breeze some great food, nice wine and some live music. It was the kind of day that could make you say, I could just stay here forever.
That’s the kind of day I had on Saturday. The Mill restaurant in Old Town Murrieta held a little wine tasting featuring the wines from Weins, Renzoni, Leonesse, and Rosenblum. Thirty dollars got you eight tastes (about 3 ounces) and a glass of wine along with some great food, a hell of a deal if you ask me.
The food consisted of a green salad with walnuts, blue cheese, cranberries, and radicchio, pasta salad, cheese and crackers, a pork shank with Cajun seasoning, poached Salmon with capers and thyme and finally a little chocolate cheesecake for desert.
The Mill plans on doing these types of events every month or so, the last one was a beer tasting which had 50-75 people in attendance or more. Adam the manager says that he is planning a summer concert series for July and August that will start around 4 and run through dinner.
If you have not been to the Mill before now this is a great reason to go I was at both the beer event and the wine event and both were wonderful. They publish their events on Facebook so you can friend then and get information on all of the upcoming events.
The Mill restaurant is located at 24690 Washington Ave Murrieta
